The DAW I use to make most of my music! It's the most user friendly in my personal experience.
UltraBox
I use this specifically to make my 8-bit soundtracks. The best part about this is that it's free, and has a discord community behind it with templates.

KONTAKT 7
Kontakt acts as a host for sample libraries. Many popular vst plugins require kontakt to run. It also comes with a ton of factory sounds. (The latest one is Kontakt 8)
DRUMS
Addictive Drums 2
This comes with a large amount of different drum libraries. One of the best realistic sounding drum plugins!
GUITARS/BASS
Ample Guitar SC
My go-to for anything electric guitar related. It's highly customizable and versatile.
Electric Sunburst Deluxe
I use this plugin mainly for my lead electric guitars.
Picked Nylon
I use this plugin for anything Nylon Guitar related.
Shreddage 3: Hydra
The first electric guitar vst I've used. Overall more user friendly than Ample Guitar SC.
MODO Bass 2
The bass guitar VST I currently use. Has plenty of sounds and simple to use.
Archetype Nolly
The current Amp Plugin I use. You can make some pretty cool tones with this.
HORNS
Sessions Horns Pro
A VST with some solid horn instruments! I especially like the Trumpets and Trombones from this.
Austin Samples Bundle
The Saxaphone is one of the best I've used, and it's very simple! Buying the bundle will get you Austin Samples Saxaphone and Sasaki Trumpet.
ORCHESTRA
Symphony Orchestra Core
The main plugin I use for my orchestral music. The Core version pretty much has all or most orchestral essentials you'll need.
SYNTHS
Halion 7
Another large collection of libraries for various synths and other things. The Pokémon Developers GameFreak use many sounds from this.
Xfer Serum
A synthesizer plugin that's pretty much the go-to for all producers! Serum 2 is the most recent version.
Spectronics Omnisphere
A synth plugin with a wide variety of presets.
Spectronics Keyscape
The best keys vst I've ever used! Has a wide array of instruments.
Korg M1
A plugin that replicates sounds from the Korg M1. Many sounds from Sonic Mania come from this.
